What are the differences between the hospital wholesale website and your online ecommerce store at CoilstoLocsStore.com?

Our online retail store sells a line of wig styles direct to consumer that are different from the styles sold wholesale. *Women experiencing non-chemotherapy hair loss due to autoimmune diseases, medication or other medical and non-medical reasons have continually expressed interest in purchasing our culturally sensitive wigs directly. We launched the online store based on popular demand. These women would not be candidates for wig purchases at many cancer center hospitals and cancer resource centers.

*Our Canadian wholesalers are able to purchase our online retail wigs wholesale during a testing phase which we will consider extending to our U.S. retailers in the future.

Do I have to be a registered vendor in order to access the wholesale page?

Yes, you must be a vetted registered vendor to access the wholesale page and make purchases. Register as a vendor here.

What does your vetting process entail?

It is a simple process. When you complete the webform, we confirm that you have submitted a formal business email address. We verify the business location, website and phone number if applicable and we ask for your tax-exempt documentation if your hospital or organization is a non-profit.  (U.S. vendors only).

Canada: We are required by Canadian law to collect HST/GST tax based on the province that your business is located.

What happens after I complete the vendor registration form?

After submitting your vendor application, we vet all vendors prior to approving access to our private wholesale site.  

Once your information is reviewed, you will receive an email from wholesale@coilstolocs.com inviting you to 'activate your account'.

Please give us 24 hours, (Monday – Friday) to review your information. Please be sure to add wholesale@coilstolocs.com to your contacts and/or check your spam folder if it has not been received within 24 hours. We will resend the account activation link if needed.

Do you sell your wigs wholesale to vendors other than hospitals?

At this time, we only sell wholesale to verified hospitals, cancer center resource organizations and medical hair loss salons. We are also actively seeking partnerships with federal organizations, (V.A. hospital, etc.) as well as health insurers and health networks. Please reach out to the company at wholesale@coilstolocs.com if you are a government entity, health insurance company or health system or large cancer resource focused non-profit to discuss how we can partner with you to bring inclusivity to your customers. (You can also fill out the vendor form and we will reach out to you). We would love to speak with you!

I’m the owner of a beauty supply store and not a representative of a hospital or cancer resource organization. Can I purchase your wigs wholesale?

Not at this time but we appreciate your interest. We will be expanding our business model in the future.

Why is there a minimum order quantity with the first order only?

Given the diverse styles of our wigs, (and what we have found to be the diverse interests in a variety of styles from customers), we feel strongly that having a minimum number of our wigs in stock and therefore a number of choices in stock will help support your ability to give potential clients options that they can see and feel before considering making a purchase. 

After your first order, there is no minimum order quantity as long as you reorder wigs over the following 12 months after your initial purchase.

Do you sell other products such as mannequins with Black features or wig shampoos and conditioners?

 We’re glad you asked… We will very soon. We will contact all of our vendors as we launch products to support the care of our wigs our vendors and your customers.

Does Coils to Locs make wig donations?

We believe in our mission to disrupt healthcare disparities and give back to our community at large and we have been actively engaged in community outreach several years before the business was officially launched in late 2019.  Although we are a social impact business, we are also an early-stage for-profit startup; a startup which at this stage does not have the financial resources of our competitors to donate wigs. As the business scales, we will add a wig donation campaign for organizations whose patients are primarily underserved, underrepresented in the highly textured wig space or under-resourced financially.

What type of wig caps are used?

Our current wig caps are closed weft caps with a blend of primarily cotton with some spandex. The wigs do not have combs but a silicone grip around the circumference of the wig that holds the wigs in place. We will be expanding our wig caps to include partial monofilament caps in the near future.

What size are your wig caps?

At this time, our wig caps are standard size [circumference: 21.5in to 22in (54.61cm to 55.88cm)]. We plan to expand our line of wigs to accommodate smaller and larger sizes as well as children in future.

Will you be expanding your wig styles?

Yes, we are in the process of adding new wig styles to our current collection.

Can wigs be custom ordered?

We are not able to accommodate custom orders at this time.

I’m ready to expand our wig line to offer more culturally sensitive styles for our patients but I’m not familiar with how to care for highly textured or tightly coiled wigs. Do you offer any wig training resources?

Yes, we do!  There are free wig training videos that cover everything from positioning the wig to washing and styling. We also hold periodic virtual vendor events with our Coils to Locs wig consultant, a licensed cosmetologist and wig maker.

She is also available for a fee for one-on-one sessions with you or your staff. Reach out to us at wholesale@coilstolocs.com if you are interested in scheduling a personalized consult with our specialist.

 Is the care and maintenance of coily curly wigs really any different than that of straight-haired wigs?

Good question! The short answer is yes, there is a slight difference.  Similar to “real” tightly coiled or “natural hair”; in order to preserve the curl pattern and prevent excessive frizz, you should never comb, brush or roughly handle the wig hair.  Please review our wig tutorials for step-by-step instructions to support your ability to manage and educate your staff and clients on the handling of our high-quality synthetic wigs.

Do you accept credit cards?

We accept credit cards on our wholesale site. This allows our vendors to purchase wigs at any time. 

I don’t have a credit card. Can I purchase wigs through a P.O?

Yes, you can but your order would have to be manually entered and invoiced. Please reach out to us at wholesale@coilstolocs.com if you are interested in submitting a P.O. You are welcome to register on the wholesale page to view the current styles, pricing and availability of inventory prior to place a manual order.

What are your payment terms for P.O. orders?

We are a small business and we appreciate terms of net 30 for all orders paid by check for all U.S. and Canadian purchases.

We are a tax-exempt organization. Do you charge sales tax?

For U.S. entities, we ask for proof of tax exemption before omitting tax from purchases which is part of the vetting process. For Canadian companies, we are required to collect GST/HST tax based on your province location at the point of purchase.

Do you offer discounts for larger purchases?

Yes, we do offer discounts for larger purchases, (10 wigs or more) which are automatically deducted at checkout. (We will manually apply discounts to P.O. orders). At this time, the discount is 15%. Discounts are subject to change.

Who is responsible for paying duty/custom fees for Canadian shipments?

Canadian vendors are responsible for all duty and custom related fees/taxes.  We are required to collect GST/HST tax based on your province location at the point of purchase.

Do you offer free shipping?

We do not offer free shipping although we may offer periodic free shipping as well as other incentives/discounts during promotional periods.

Do you ship outside of the U.S.?

At this time, we ship to Canada only but plan to expand to other countries based on demand. Please let us know of our interest if you are outside of or shipping area of U.S. and Canada so that we can gauge interest by reaching out to us at wholesale@coilstolocs.com.

What is your return policy?

Vendors who pay by credit card have seven days from delivery to review the order and request a return if applicable. We are unable to make exceptions. The wigs must be returned unused with no signs of manipulation or wear and in its original packaging. The vendor is responsible for all costs related to the return of wigs. Refunds are issued after the wig(s) are returned.  

P.O purchases: Because we ship immediately and prior to receipt of payment based on our net 30 terms, wigs ordered via a P.O., (check) cannot be returned or refunded.

How long does it take to ship my wig order?

Orders received during business hours, Monday – Thursday are normally shipped within 48 hours. Orders received on Friday’s are normally shipped by Tuesday of the following week. Orders are not shipped on Saturday or Sunday. 

Why am I having difficulty accessing the wholesale page after completing the New Vendor registration form?

Please be sure to activate your account as oftentimes, the email activation email is missed. The activation link expires after a few hours. If it has expired, let us know and we will resend an account activation link to you. If you have taken this step and you are still unable to access the site. Please contact us at wholesale@coilstolocs.com or customercare@coilstolocs.com.

Who do I contact if I have trouble accessing the private wholesale page?
